On December 11 the Festival of Lights or Hanukkah begins.
This eight day Jewish holiday commemorates the rededication of the Holy Temple in Jerusalem at the time of the Maccabean Revolt of the 2nd century BCE.
Hanukkah is observed by the kindling of the lights of a special candelabrum, the nine branched Menorah. Each night of the holiday one light is lit, progressing to eight on the final night. An extra light called a shamash is also lit each night. The shamash is used to light the others and is located above or below the rest of the candles.
Festive colors for this holy holiday include decorations in blue, white and silver. Candymachines.com has the perfect candies to serve at your Hanukkah parties. Chocolate candy is always a favorite addition to your decorations. Some of the prettiest and best tasting chocolates are the mini Royal Blue Sixlets Candy Coated Chocolate Balls, the White Sixlets Bulk Decorator Candy Coated Chocolate Balls and the Silver Sixlets Candy Coated Chocolate Balls. These candies are available in bulk.
If you prefer an already mixed bag of candy there are the Sixlets Chocolate Candy Blue & White Mix. These come in 2 lb.bags.
Sixlets are mini, round shaped candies with cocoa and carob flavors. They brighten the top of any cake, cookie, ice cream or frozen yogurt. They also look great in any candy dish.
All of these candies are Kosher certified
